American billionaire Elon Musk announced that long videos will soon be available on smart TVs after Fortune magazine reported that the social media platform X, owned by Musk, plans to launch a TV app for Amazon and Samsung users next week. The platform has released an early version of video and voice calls to some users, after Musk indicated his intention to transform it into a super app offering services ranging from messaging to peer-to-peer payments. In a brief response on X to a user's post about the possibility of watching long videos from the platform directly on smart TVs, Musk said: "Soon." Earlier, Fortune magazine stated that the app could resemble the TV offering provided by Google's YouTube. It quoted an unnamed source saying that Musk was determined to compete with YouTube.
