Russian Security Foils Assassination Attempt on Close Associates of Putin

Russian media reported today, Sunday, that security services managed to thwart an assassination attempt on one of President Vladimir Putin's close aides, but did not specify the identity of the targeted individual. Vladimir Rogov, head of the "We Are with Russia" movement in the Zaporizhzhia region, stated that "Russian special security services thwarted in Berdyansk an assassination attempt on one of President Vladimir Putin's associates." Rogov told Sputnik: "Ukrainian terrorists were preparing for a terrorist attack, but nothing happened. Their criminal plans were foiled due to the professional actions of Russian security services." He noted that "a search is underway for all those involved in planning the terrorist attack."
