Lyon Continues Its Decline in Ligue 1

Lyon, a seven-time champion of France, has failed to secure its first victory in Ligue 1 this season, drawing 1-1 with Metz on Sunday in the 11th round. Gambian player Ably Gallo gave Metz the lead in the 77th minute, before Skelly Alvero equalized for the home team in the 84th minute. Lyon, which dominated French football from 2001 to 2007 by winning the league seven consecutive times, remains at the bottom of the table and is facing the threat of relegation to the second division, having only accumulated four points from four draws and six losses.
