Heavy Rains and Floods Threaten a Cracked Patriarchal House in Diman

Heavy rains and raging floods have caused further cracks in one of the patriarchal houses in Diman, which is occupied by a farming family. As a result, residents gathered and performed makeshift support for the house using wooden and metal concrete props, preparing to evacuate the dwelling's occupants. The residents approached the patriarchal seat, where they met the patriarchal representative in Diman, Father Tony Al-Agha, who invited them to stay at the seat, denouncing the negligence of officials regarding this humanitarian issue despite repeated inquiries. He asked, "Who is responsible for displacing a family and putting them in danger? We have repeatedly informed the administrative and security officials about the cracks in the house and the need for reinforcement, but to no avail." He added that "the disregard for people's rights and lives compels us to assert our rights ourselves, and we will have a thorough follow-up to protect the threatened family in their residence."
