The Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, confirmed that the tours of the "five-member delegation" will include everyone to affirm their commitment to electing a president. He considered that the desired truce is an opportunity to generate ideas, adding that details will not pose obstacles if the signals are positive. In a television interview, Moussa stated, "We prefer to hear the ideas of the blocs and from the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, directly. Our meeting with him aims to confirm his position, which he has expressed to us regarding his genuine desire to elect a president."
