Voter Turnout in Russian Presidential Elections Exceeds 67.5% Registered in 2018

The Russian news agency "TASS" reported that "the voter turnout in the Russian presidential elections reached 67.54 percent, surpassing the levels of 2018, just hours before the polling closed today, Sunday." The turnout in 2018 was recorded at 67.5 percent. The highest turnout ever recorded in Russian presidential elections was in June 1991, when it reached 74.7 percent. In this context, the protest monitoring group "OVD-Info" announced that "more than 47 people were arrested in 13 Russian cities for their involvement in events related to the presidential elections taking place in Russia today, Sunday."
