Iraqi Interior Minister Abd al-Amir al-Shammari announced today, Thursday, the seizure of more than 50 kg of drugs over the course of three days. In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Shammari said, "We visited today areas south of Saladin, specifically Dijail district, to meet with the components of the Interior Ministry in the district, as well as to observe the security forces' reception at the Samarra leadership and to meet with the families of martyrs and the wounded." He added that "the security situation is stable in Dijail district, and there is a high level of cooperation from citizens with all local police and federal police components," indicating that "the services provided by the Interior Ministry, such as national ID cards and passports, are proceeding well."
