NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg revealed on Thursday that "Ukraine's ammunition in its war against the Russian invasion is running low and that the alliance's members are not doing enough to assist Kyiv." In unusually sharp remarks regarding the state of the war, he stated that NATO members have the capacity to provide more for Ukraine but need to demonstrate the political will to do so. He told reporters at NATO headquarters in Brussels, "The unprecedented assistance provided by alliance members has helped Ukraine remain an independent state, but it needs greater support at this time." He continued, "The alliance is not providing enough ammunition to Ukraine, and this has implications on the battlefield daily... It is one of the reasons why the Russians have been able to make some advances on the battlefield over the past weeks and months." He added, "We have the capability and economies that enable us to supply Ukraine with what it needs. It is a matter of political will to make decisions and set priorities to support Ukraine."
