The Jordan News Agency reported, citing a military source in the General Command of the Armed Forces, that "two Jordanian pilots were killed after a training aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force crashed during a training flight at King Hussein Air Base in Mafraq Governorate." The source noted that one of the pilots held the rank of Major and the other the rank of Captain.
