The town of Ayoune el-Ghazlan in Akkar witnessed the funeral of Mrs. Leila Khaled Bak Abdel Qader Al-Murabi, the mother of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, in a grand ceremony attended by political and religious figures, as well as diplomatic, syndical, and social representatives. Among those present were the representative of the Grand Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Deryan, the Mufti of Akkar Sheikh Zaid Bakar Zakaria, and the representative of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, former MP Qassem Abdul Aziz, along with current and former MPs. The mourners were welcomed by the deceased's son, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Jaber Al-Sabah, her brother, former Minister and MP Talal Al-Murabi, former MP Tareq Al-Murabi, and other family members. Mufti Zakaria delivered a speech discussing the meanings of death, stating: "We bid farewell to a virtuous woman from a prominent national family, and we ask God to grant her a place in His vast Paradise."
