Ukrainian police announced that "a Russian missile struck a residential building in a village in the Kharkiv region in northern Ukraine on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to four others," adding that another four individuals may be trapped under the rubble. They clarified that "preliminary data indicates the death of two individuals... Among the victims (the injured) are three men and one woman." Images from the attack site showed rescue teams searching through the debris after part of the two-story building was destroyed. The area has been facing repeated Russian assaults. Police speculated the use of the S-300 missile system during the attack on the village of Velykyi Burluk, which resulted in the destruction of eight out of 16 apartments in the building.
