The first aid ship, which followed the maritime route from the island of Cyprus to the Gaza Strip, was seen off the coast of Gaza City today, Friday. Photos showed the ship, belonging to the Spanish charity organization "Open Arms," approaching the shores of the besieged territory. According to the NGO, the ship carries 200 tons of food supplies for the residents of Gaza, who are threatened by famine amid the war that has entered its sixth month between Israel and Hamas. The ship has launched a maritime corridor from Cyprus to the territory, which has been under a complete siege since the outbreak of the war, where the United Nations fears a widespread and imminent famine, particularly in the northern areas that are difficult to access, where more than 300,000 people have not been displaced to other regions.
