The "Palestinian Joint Action Committee" in the Sidon area held a meeting at the home of the Secretary of the Fatah Movement, Maher Shabaita, in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, attended by representatives of national and Islamic forces and the commander of the joint security force, Mahmoud al-Ajouri. During the meeting, they discussed steps to reinforce the security situation in the camp. As a result, it was decided to "deploy elements from the joint security force next Friday at the entrances of UNRWA schools located between the Al-Tawari area, the Upper Street, and the Bustan al-Quds, along with the withdrawal of armed individuals from these schools coinciding with their positioning at the entrances, as part of the third step after establishing a ceasefire, strengthening the Palestinian joint force, and deploying it in the Al-Tira neighborhood – Al-Ras Al-Ahmar, and the second at the Burak Central – Bustan al-Quds intersection, leaving the timing of the deployment to Commander al-Ajouri." The fourth step was also discussed after evacuating the UNRWA schools and positioning the security force at their entrances, to deploy its elements in the Hittin neighborhood to prevent clashes, paving the way for the return of displaced individuals, while the main issue remains how to address the matter of the suspects in the assassination of General Abu Ashraf Al-Armooshi and his companions.
