Under the slogan "Save Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)," American actor Mel Gibson launched a call to rescue the Armenians, warning of another genocide happening in the world and urging the international community to provide protection for the Armenians, to establish a humanitarian corridor, and to ensure the return of exiles to their rightful homes without delay. He stated, "History is tragically repeating itself, and we are witnessing a modern genocide unfolding. However, the media silence regarding this issue is deafening."
He continued, "The Armenian people have suffered for centuries due to their beliefs, only to find themselves once again subjected to a brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing."
He added, "Under the rule of Azerbaijan and Turkey, countless Armenians are suffering from unimaginable horrors, loss of life, forced displacement, famine, and isolation. These are the Armenians whose roots run deep in the land they have considered their homeland for generations."
The American actor appealed to the international community for swift action, to extend a helping hand to the Armenian population, and to provide them with protection. He said, "Most importantly, let us engage in immediate diplomatic efforts to ensure that these displaced individuals can return to their rightful homes without delay. I say to the Armenians who are still suffering, do not lose heart. God is with you."
