Sultan Al Jaber, President of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP28), praised the agreement approved by around 200 countries on Wednesday, describing it as a "historic package" of measures that provides a "strong plan" to achieve the goal of 1.5 degrees Celsius. He stated during the closing session of the COP28 summit shortly after the agreement was approved: "We have made a qualitative leap that has the potential to redefine our economies." He added, "The agreement is good as long as it is implemented. We are what we do, not what we say."
