Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that his country is ready to host a peace summit involving both Russia and Ukraine. Erdogan emphasized that "we will provide strong support for the reconstruction of Ukraine." He stated that he and Zelensky agreed to increase efforts to reach 10 billion dollars in trade volume between Turkey and Ukraine. Erdogan mentioned that the free trade agreement between Turkey and Ukraine will come into effect as soon as possible, asserting that it will undoubtedly add new momentum to the relations between Ankara and Kyiv. He explained that he discussed issues related to export corridors and Black Sea navigation security with Zelensky. In his speech, he said, "While we continue our solidarity with Ukraine, we will also continue our initiatives to end the war through a fair peace based on negotiations." Erdogan continued, saying, "We are working to end the war in Ukraine peacefully; we have not lost hope for progress in the peace process, and there are some encouraging positive signs in this regard." The Turkish president noted the importance of preserving Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. For his part, Zelensky stated during the conference that they have achieved significant humanitarian results thanks to Turkey's efforts.
