The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron and his accompanying delegation this morning, Thursday, at the Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Majlis in the Amiri Diwan, on the occasion of his visit to the country. During the meeting, they discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for enhancing and developing them, in addition to discussing regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and ways to achieve an immediate and permanent ceasefire to spare the Palestinian brothers' blood, ensure civilian protection, and provide humanitarian aid to those in need in the area. The British Foreign Secretary expressed the United Kingdom's gratitude to the Emir for Qatar's efforts and its endeavors to de-escalate and end the war in Gaza.
