Israeli Shelling in Southern Lebanon Results in Two Hezbollah Fatalities

Israeli artillery shelling today, Thursday, targeted the outskirts of the towns of Al-Dahira, Tyre Harfa, Shihein, Al-Jabin, Hula, and Markaba, as well as the outskirts of the town of Al-Alma Ash-Shab. The Israeli artillery also hit the Wadi Salouki area, following the sound of sirens in the Margalit settlement and the Ramim barracks in Wadi Hunin. This morning, Israeli reconnaissance planes were observed flying over the villages in the western and central sectors, extending to the southern coastline.

According to Al-Manar reporter, an airstrike was carried out by Israeli warplanes alongside intense artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of the town of Kounin.

In response, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted the Marj site and Ramim Forest (the occupied Lebanese village of Hunin) with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits. They also reported strikes on the Ma'ayan Baruch site with confirmed hits. Additionally, Hezbollah stated they had targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers around the Metat barracks, inflicting confirmed injuries. Other targets included the sites of Bayad Bled and Hodab Al-Bustan, as well as another gathering of Israeli soldiers in Khallat Wardah and near the Jal Alaim site, with reported direct hits.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah mourned two of its members: Hatem Ali Jaafar from the city of Hermel in Baalbek and Imad Muhammad Al-Rashaini, also from Hermel.

The Civil Defense Operations Room issued the following statement: "An Israeli drone targeted one of the Civil Defense centers affiliated with the Islamic Scout Association in the western sector, without any injuries reported, and only material damage occurred." It added, "With the Israeli enemy’s persistent targeting of emergency medical teams in the association, we reaffirm our commitment to our humanitarian work and to standing by our people despite this brutal aggression."
