Interior and Municipalities Minister Bassam Mawlawi officially launched the platform of the Traffic Management Authority for Vehicles and Machinery in Dekwaneh on IMPACT, on Tuesday. This initiative aims to facilitate car registration and the processing of citizens' transactions.
During a press conference, Mawlawi indicated the start of the first phase of a comprehensive project aimed at enhancing the vehicle registration service through the creation of a personal account on the platform, specifying the transaction to be processed, scheduling an appointment, and receiving a text message that confirms registration on the platform along with the scheduled appointment through a QR CODE.
He announced that the registration phase on the platform would begin on Thursday, June 15, 2023, for processing transactions at the Dekwaneh Vehicle Registration Authority. Mawlawi added that registered citizens would be welcomed starting Tuesday, June 19, 2023, in Dekwaneh exclusively, adhering to the scheduled appointments with the required documents, while the branch offices in Sidon, Tripoli, Nabatieh, and Zahle would receive citizens three days a week.
Mawlawi reminded that the currently active transactions via the platform include registering new and used imported vehicles for the first time with a customs certificate, registering wrecked vehicles, transferring ownership, processing vehicle registration cessation, releasing pledges, obtaining a replacement driving license, issuing a driving license certificate for submission to relevant foreign authorities, renewing transportation permits for private cargo vehicles, diplomatic service transactions, and obtaining an allocation certificate for numbers.
He confirmed that other transactions would be announced after they are activated on the platform through the official website of the Vehicle Registration Authority at tmo.gov.lb and its social media channels.
