Dollar Stability Amid Banking Crisis Concerns

The dollar remained stable on Monday, while the yen hovered near its highest level in seven weeks as investors assessed the measures taken by authorities and regulatory bodies to allay fears about the global banking system. The dollar index, which measures the performance of the American currency against six major currencies, rose 0.078 percent to 103.07 after climbing 0.5 percent on Friday amid banking tensions that led to a nearly nine percent drop in Deutsche Bank's shares. The euro increased by 0.05 percent to 1.0764 dollars after falling 0.6 percent on Friday. The British pound reached 1.2235 dollars, up 0.05 percent on the day after slipping 0.5 percent on Friday. The Australian dollar gained 0.09 percent to 0.665 dollars. In the cryptocurrency sphere, Bitcoin's latest increase was 0.84 percent to 27,861.02 dollars, while Ethereum rose by 0.71 percent to 1,763.39 dollars.
