The US fleet commander for the Red Sea operation stated to Bloomberg that they have managed to "reduce Houthi capabilities", affirming, "There is still a lot of work ahead of us." The fleet commander mentioned that "with Iran's support for the Houthis both intelligence-wise and militarily, it is difficult to predict when the mission will be completed." He added that Houthi attacks have slowed down, shifting from the use of cruise missiles to less dangerous drones. Since the escalation of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Houthis have been targeting vessels owned or operated by Israeli companies as they pass through the Red Sea and near Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden.
