Erdogan Informs Emirati Counterpart: Resumption of Israeli Attacks on Gaza is

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's office announced today, Friday, that he has informed his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan that the resumption of Israeli attacks on Gaza after a week-long ceasefire is "extremely negative." The Turkish and Emirati leaders met on the sidelines of the COP28 summit in Dubai. The presidency stated that Erdogan also met with the Prime Ministers of Japan and Italy to discuss the Gaza issue, as well as with his counterpart from Uzbekistan.

The office added in a statement that "President Erdogan, who indicated that the resumption of clashes is extremely negative, said that Turkey is working to achieve a permanent ceasefire and to facilitate humanitarian aid to Gaza." Erdogan also mentioned that Turkey is doing its utmost to stop the "massacre" being perpetrated by Israel, but that the Islamic world needs to work in unison.
