Two U.S. officials told Reuters today, Tuesday, that "the United States is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine, which could be valued at up to $400 million, marking the first such step in months as Republican leaders in Congress continue to obstruct efforts to provide additional funds to Kyiv." The officials, who requested anonymity, indicated that an announcement is expected later today. The U.S. House of Representatives is under pressure to pass a $95 billion aid package to bolster support for Ukraine and Israel, as well as the Indo-Pacific region. The legislation was approved by the Senate with a majority of 70 votes to 29, but Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson is resistant to bringing the bill to a vote.
