The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated today, Tuesday, that "India and the UAE have signed agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral investment and opening new avenues for cooperation, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE." The ministry noted, "The two countries also signed agreements in the fields of energy and digital infrastructure." The countries signed a bilateral investment treaty and a comprehensive economic partnership agreement. The ministry mentioned that the sides also signed an international government framework agreement regarding the economic corridor between India and the Middle East, which will help enhance regional connectivity. This marks Modi's seventh visit to the UAE since he became Prime Minister nearly a decade ago, strengthening ties with one of his country’s major trade partners. These agreements come ahead of Modi's speech at the Global Government Summit in Dubai tomorrow, Wednesday.
