Earthquake of 5.1 Magnitude Off the Coast of Japan

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 off the coast of Japan. The epicenter of the earthquake is located 190 km southeast of the city of Hashinohe (Honshu Island), which has a population of about 239,000. The focal depth of the earthquake is 10 km. No reports of a tsunami threat have been made.
