An official from the US State Department stated that the Lebanese-Israeli negotiation process will resume in Rome at the beginning of September. Discussions will continue in both Beirut and Jerusalem as well as Washington during the intervening period.
The official told Sky News Arabia that Hezbollah is trying to obstruct the negotiation process.
He also noted that both Lebanon and Israel are experiencing democratic conditions characterized by internal political pressure.
