Local media reported that 11 people were killed and more than 50 others injured in a road accident in northwest Turkey on Thursday. Anadolu Agency stated that the accident occurred involving seven vehicles, including three buses and a truck, on the North Marmara Highway near the Düzce district in Sakarya province. Anadolu added that the cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Private news channel NTV reported that the area is experiencing heavy fog with low visibility. The governor of Sakarya told local media that 57 people were injured and transported to the hospital.
