The President of the Lebanese Kataeb Party, Deputy Sami Gemayel, received French member of the European Parliament from the Republicans party, Geoffrey Didier, and his advisor Anne Rory, at his headquarters in Bakfaya. They discussed the regional situation and its implications for Lebanon.
Former Minister Alain Hakim, Head of External Relations for the party Marwan Abdullah, and member of the external relations team Lia Ibrahim attended the meeting.
During the meeting, they affirmed the danger of war on Lebanon and the importance of swiftly electing a sovereign and reformist president to restore order to the political life. Gemayel emphasized Hezbollah's responsibility for dragging Lebanon into war and imposing the "unity of arenas" equation.
The discussion also covered the topic of refugees and the importance of the European Union's role in ensuring their safe return. Didier expressed his support for the Kataeb Party and confirmed the significance of its role in the opposition, also promising continued interest in Lebanese affairs in rejection of any change to Lebanon's identity.
