The Spanish Football League officially decided today, Wednesday, to refer Getafe's complaint against English player Jude Bellingham, star of Real Madrid, to the Competition Committee. Getafe's complaint states that Bellingham referred to his compatriot Mason Greenwood as a "rapist," a remark that was captured on camera, while some believe that the word uttered by the Real Madrid player was "garbage."
The British newspaper "Mirror" reported that Jude Bellingham could face a four-match suspension if it is proven that he abused Mason Greenwood.
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" stated, "A report was prepared by a lip-reading expert, and it is now on the Competition Committee's table, which will decide whether there will be a sanction against Bellingham or not." They confirmed that the Spanish Football League would not disclose anything regarding the outcome of the report, but has informed the Competition Committee of all its details and left it to them to make a decision.
The newspaper explained that if the first possibility is confirmed, Bellingham would then have hinted to the Getafe player about a previous file related to sexual violence charges against Greenwood, from which he was acquitted. These charges led to Greenwood's departure from Manchester United.
