Israel on Thursday seized several plots of land near a large Jewish settlement in the West Bank, but a source familiar with the decision told Reuters that there are currently no plans for construction there. An announcement from the Civil Administration, a part of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, stated that the area of the land is 652 acres. The Israeli source indicated that these areas will now be classified as part of the Ma'ale Adumim settlement located east of Jerusalem.
