Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence confirmed that he will not support Republican candidate Donald Trump for a second presidential term. In an interview with Fox News, Pence stated, "It should not be surprising that I will not support Donald Trump this year." It is noted that there has been a rift between the two men after Trump pressured Pence to help overturn his defeat in the 2020 election against current President Joe Biden, and Trump repeatedly criticized him on social media when he did not follow the plan. Pence, in his remarks to Fox News, argued that "Trump is pursuing an agenda that is at odds with the conservative agenda we governed by during our four years."
