Title: Ministry of Economy: Despite Challenges, We Will Continue to Monitor Violations

The Consumer Protection Directorate continued its inspection rounds in the markets, directed by the Minister of Economy and Trade in the caretaker government, Amin Salam, to ensure compliance of supermarkets with pricing mechanisms and profit margins. The directorate stated that "the inspectors issued written warnings and recorded a violation report against a supermarket in Tripoli for breaching the legal profit percentages."

They added, "They completed their rounds on electric generators in the south and organized two violation reports against the owners of generators in the towns of Ghazieh and Najariyeh, following up on citizens' complaints regarding generators in the following towns: Marwaniyeh, Bazourieh, Burj al-Shimali, Ain al-Mir, Shawaliq, Sarafand, and Sidon, where they issued warnings to the generator owners after resolving all complaints."

The ministry confirmed, "Despite the difficulties faced by the inspectors, it will continue to be stringent in monitoring violations and referring offenders to the competent judiciary."
