The third edition of "Noor Riyadh Festival 2023" launched yesterday, Thursday, under the slogan "Moon on the Sands of the Desert," running for 17 days until December 16th. It features the participation of over 100 contemporary artists from more than 35 countries, including over 35 artists from the Kingdom.
The festival showcases artistic lights in five centers across the capital, including the King Abdullah Financial Center, Jax District, Salam Park, Wadi Hanifa, and Wadi Namar. This event celebrates light art globally with large-scale light installations, light reflections on various buildings, drone shows, and interactive artworks. These installations invite contemplation on the distance between the hustle of the city and the tranquility of the desert, as well as the transition between the past, present, and future.
Additionally, the festival includes a companion exhibition titled "Creativity Illuminates Us, and the Future Unites Us," located in the Jax District in Diriyah, which will run for three months from November 30, 2023, to March 2, 2024, featuring 32 artists from around the world.
