King Charles Prefers Alternative Medicine for Cancer Treatment

British royal family expert and former BBC journalist Tom Bower announced that King Charles III may refuse traditional medication for cancer treatment. The "Daily Express" reported, citing Bower, that Charles has always been opposed to chemotherapy and favors alternative medicine. The expert added, "He is a strong believer in herbs, natural doses, and things like that." Bower thinks that the king will turn to English doctor Michael Dixon, who has been the chief physician to the royal court since 2023. Like Charles, Dixon believes that the best treatment for illnesses is through unconventional methods. Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer following a recent surgery to remove benign prostate enlargement. The palace declined to confirm the type of cancer, but they stated that the king and his doctors remain "extremely positive" after beginning treatment in outpatient clinics. "Sky News" reported that Prince William may take on some of King Charles III's public duties after the cancer diagnosis, although constitutional matters will remain the king's responsibility.
