North Korea Sent 6,700 Shipments of Ammunition to Russia

Local media reported today, Tuesday, that the South Korean defense minister stated that the northern neighbor sent about 6,700 containers carrying millions of ammunition to Russia since July to support it in the Ukraine war, indicating the continuation of arms transfers. The Yonhap news agency quoted the minister saying, "It could be a mix of both, and you could say that several million shells have at least been sent." He added that hundreds of ammunition factories in North Korea are operating at about 30 percent of their capacity due to a lack of raw materials and electricity, but those producing artillery shells for Russia are working "at full speed," although he did not provide details on the source of the information.
