The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement today, Tuesday, stating: "On September 7, 2023, on the route from Baalbek to Beirut, personnel at the Dhahr al-Baydar checkpoint in the regional gendarmerie unit arrested two individuals, each carrying a forged individual record statement, traveling in a non-registered, tinted GMC Yukon vehicle. They also had a forged sunshade license.
Further investigation revealed that they are identified as: A. M. (born in 1993, Lebanese) and A. M. (born in 1985, Lebanese), both wanted by the judiciary under a court ruling for the crime of transporting weapons and ammunition, as well as an arrest warrant for gunfire offenses. They, along with the seized items, have been referred to the Zahle Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police for further investigation, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary."
