Suicide of a Judge in Front of the Egyptian Public Prosecution

The Egyptian Public Prosecution witnessed an incident of suicide involving a chief prosecutor, who threw himself and fell in the premises of the Public Prosecution, taking his last breaths, following his arrest at Cairo Airport. He was apprehended on charges of embezzling funds and receiving bribes from a contractor. The investigations took place after all legal procedures were followed, and his resignation was accepted before he was interrogated. Judicial sources informed "Al-Masry Al-Youm" that "investigations into the incident are ongoing, and the body was transferred to the forensic medicine at Zeinhom morgue. The Cairo Appeals Prosecution is handling the investigations, which occurred after the acceptance of the chief prosecutor's resignation and the completion of all prescribed procedures." It was revealed that "the arrest of the accused took place at Cairo Airport, and he committed suicide by throwing himself in the foyer of the Public Prosecution building."
