Arab Parliament Commends Saudi-Omani Efforts for Peace in Yemen

The President of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman al-Asoomi, expressed his appreciation for "the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to end the war in Yemen and achieve comprehensive and just peace," emphasizing that these efforts "come as a continuation of all previous initiatives and the Gulf initiative that paved the way for restoring stability and ensuring decent living conditions for the Yemeni brotherly people." He expressed hopes that "matters will proceed in a way that enables the Yemenis to end the state of war they have lived through for years and endured difficult humanitarian conditions, as well as work on establishing the foundations of a national state, developing its institutions, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian assistance to all the people of Yemen."

Al-Asoomi stated, "Since the beginning of the crisis, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been leading significant efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, working alongside its brothers to defuse the conflict among Yemenis and guide Yemen towards safety and stability," praising "the diligent efforts made by Omani diplomacy to bring the views of all parties closer together."
