On the occasion of Kuwait's National Day, the President of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, sent a telegram to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, offering his congratulations. The text of the telegram reads: "Your Highness, Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect you. It gives me great pleasure, on my personal behalf, on behalf of the parliamentary council, and on behalf of the Lebanese people, to extend to Your Highness and the brotherly Kuwaiti people my highest congratulations and sincere wishes on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day, asking the Almighty to grant you abundant health, well-being, and capability, and for Kuwait, under your wise leadership, further progress, stability, and prosperity."
