Algeria: Commitment to International Legitimacy Away from Foreign Interventions

The Chief of Staff of the Algerian National Army, Saïd Chengriha, affirmed that his country believes that addressing the root causes of crises and fostering stability requires a commitment to legitimacy, away from foreign interventions. Chengriha stated on Tuesday, during a video conference at the 11th International Security Conference held in Moscow, that Algeria aims, through its participation in the conference, to build a distinguished and fruitful dialogue and to embody a multifaceted mutual understanding, in order to work towards achieving peace, security, development, and prosperity for all peoples of the world. He emphasized during his speech the importance of conveying greetings from the Algerian President, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the participants of the conference and wishes for the success of its proceedings.

The First Lieutenant General Chengriha stated: "International security will only be achieved through commitment to international legitimacy and by assisting African countries to exercise sovereign responsibility in addressing the continent's issues, away from foreign interventions."
