Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended performances by the China National Ballet at the Dubai Opera, invited by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the UAE. This event celebrated the diplomatic relations between the UAE and China and was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, Zhang Yiming. The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah affirmed that "the arts, in all their forms and dimensions, enhance the links between people and establish values of peace, proximity, and communication among communities, contributing to the enrichment of global culture and creating a constructive dialogue between the diverse cultures of the world to form a driving force for development and prosperity." The troupe presented several performances, starting with "Chinese New Year," followed by excerpts from the famous ballets "La Bayadère" and "Don Quixote," concluding with two performances: one titled "Permanent Yesterday" from contemporary ballet and the other "The Yellow River" from symphonic ballet.
