"We Will Not Hesitate to Civil Disobedience": Nadim Gemayel Warns Against Approving Compensation Plan for the South

Member of the "Kataeb" bloc, MP Nadim Gemayel, wrote on his account on the "X" platform: "The Prime Minister, who openly acknowledged that the decision of war and peace is not in the hands of the state, announced a plan to compensate for the damages caused by Hezbollah's adventures and the 'Support' front in the South? Hezbollah brings destruction, and the state is supposed to compensate? Let Hezbollah and Iran compensate instead..." He added: "Hundreds of victims from all sects fell in the Beirut explosion, due to state negligence, and we did not hear any words about compensation." He affirmed that "if the plan is approved, we will not hesitate to engage in civil disobedience and stop paying any taxes or fees to the Lebanese state, which, despite its bankruptcy, insists on spending money after the adventures of a militia serving a foreign agenda that has nothing to do with Lebanon."
