The Diwaniyah Police Command in Iraq announced today, Sunday, the discovery of two archaeological pieces dating back to ancient historical periods at the Al-Zahir archaeological site in the Al-Badira district. According to a statement from the directorate, "In continuation of the inspection rounds conducted by the sections dedicated to protecting archaeological sites within the Diwaniyah Police Command on a regular basis across all archaeological sites in the province, two archaeological pieces dating back to ancient historical periods were found at the Al-Zahir archaeological site in the Al-Badira district." It was noted that "an official seizure report was organized, and the two archaeological pieces were handed over to the Diwaniyah Inspectorate of Antiquities and Heritage."
