The leader of the Houthis, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, announced today, Thursday, that "any U.S. aggression against Yemen will not go unanswered." Al-Houthi indicated that "the response will be much greater than the barrage of drones and missiles launched this week at ships in the Red Sea," emphasizing that "the response will not only involve attacking Americans at sea with more than 24 drones and missiles, but the response will be much larger than that." He stated that Yemen is prepared "to confront U.S. aggression." He criticized the support of the United States and the United Kingdom for Israel, asserting that it "will not deter" his group's actions in Yemen. Al-Houthi added that the strategy of preventing ships linked to Israel from crossing the Red Sea has been effective, citing the recent U.S. attack on Houthi naval forces as evidence of this impact. Furthermore, al-Houthi accused the United States and the United Kingdom of trying to involve other countries in the confrontation against Yemen, warning that those targeting Yemen and its naval forces risk their maritime safety and commercial interests. He said, "Those who want to get involved and attack our people and target the naval forces are risking their maritime safety and their commercial vessels."
