Eiffel Tower Closed for the Third Consecutive Day

For the third consecutive day, the Eiffel Tower in Paris will remain closed due to a strike by employees of the SETE company that operates the site, who criticize its financial management. Union representative Nada Bzioui stated, "We are determined, and we have the impression that they are taking this lightly," on the third day of this confrontation between management and the two unions, CGT and FO. Bzioui added, "I would be surprised if it opens its doors tomorrow (Thursday) as well." This dispute, which led to the closure of the Eiffel Tower, occurs on December 27, the anniversary of the death of its designer, Gustave Eiffel, amidst the peak of winter school holidays, and five months before the Olympics (July 26 - August 11).
