Title: Dead Dolphin Found on Akkar Beach

The "Darb Akkar" association announced in a statement the discovery of a dead Risso dolphin on the Akkar beach near Qleiyyat Airport. A team from the Marine Science Center of the National Council for Scientific Research will transfer it for autopsy in coordination with the Akkar Agricultural Directorate - Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture and the Internal Security Forces based on the judicial authority's instructions. It was clarified that this species is considered one of the largest dolphins and is also known as the "pilot whale." It lives in tropical and temperate waters and rarely approaches shorelines.
