The Brazilian Football Confederation announced on Monday that "Brazil will face England in a friendly match in March 2024." The match will take place on March 23 at Wembley Stadium, marking the first encounter between the two teams since their goalless draw in 2017. Brazil had previously confirmed a match against Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in March of next year.
Brazilian Football Confederation President Ednaldo Rodrigues stated: "The goal is always to schedule matches for the Brazilian national team against great teams, especially world champions, so that we can have high-level technical confrontations, which also allow us to evaluate the performance of the Brazilian team in such matches." He added, "We will have two of the great classics in world football when we face England and Spain, definitely two wonderful matches."
Brazil is currently in third place in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, following a 2-0 defeat in their last qualifying match against Uruguay.
