Cautious Calm on the Southern Border Disrupted by Reconnaissance Aircraft

Following the Israeli assaults on the border villages on the eve of the New Year, there has been a cautious calm this morning over the area adjacent to the Blue Line, extending from the Majidiya plains in Ghajar to the Arqoub area in Hasbaya and the Shebaa Farms. However, this calm was disrupted by intensive flights of Israeli reconnaissance aircraft, which conducted exploratory missions at medium altitude over the villages and towns of Hasbaya district. Israeli warplanes also flew around one o'clock in the morning on the outskirts of the towns of Dhahirah and Jabain without any human casualties. Additionally, the reconnaissance aircraft flew throughout the night and into this morning over the western and central sectors, reaching the coastal area and the city of Tyre. The Israeli army also launched flares over the border villages along the Blue Line, from Naqoura up to the towns of Ramyah, Qawzah, Dibl, Ain Ebel, and Aita al-Shaab.
