Dutch Runner Bol Breaks Her Own World Record in Indoor 400m Race

Dutch athlete Femke Bol broke her own world record in the indoor 400 meters at the World Athletics Championships on Saturday. The 24-year-old recorded a time of 49.17 seconds, surpassing her previous record of 49.24 seconds set two weeks ago at the Dutch national championships, marking the first world record in this three-day event in Glasgow. Bol won the gold medal in the 400 meters hurdles and the 4x400 meters relay at last year’s World Championships in Budapest. Her compatriot Lieke Klaver secured the silver medal on Saturday with a time of 50.16 seconds, while American Alexis Holmes took home the bronze medal with a time of 50.24 seconds.
