Israeli Finance Minister Criticizes Moody's Downgrade of Israel's Credit Rating

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized Moody's decision to downgrade Israel's credit rating, stating on Saturday that "the decision related to the war in Gaza was not based on sound economic reasoning and represents a pessimistic statement." In response to the decision announced on Friday, he added, "The Israeli economy is strong by all measures and is capable of continuing to bear the full burden of the war effort, both on the external and internal fronts, until achieving victory, with God's help."
